Staying true to its vision of unmatched luxury and performance, Mercedes-Benz once again raises the bar with the arrival of the Mercedes-Benz VLE. This all-new, 100% electric multipurpose vehicle offers the best of both worlds by combining the practicality of a van with the refinement of a luxury limousine.
Scheduled for release in 2028, this brand-new model reimagines the concepts of space, comfort, and everyday technology.
Designed for both modern families and premium shuttle services, the VLE introduces a new generation of high-end vehicles built on the VAN.EA modular electric platform, which has been specifically developed to support future Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles.
A Luxurious and Versatile Interior
The VLE represents an unprecedented evolution in our lineup of family and premium vehicles. With seating for up to eight passengers and a highly modular interior, it offers living-room-level comfort and exceptional flexibility. The seats can easily be moved or removed thanks to integrated wheels, allowing the cabin to adapt effortlessly to different needs.
The impressive panoramic glass roof enhances the sense of openness and freedom inside the cabin. An electric sunshade allows occupants to control the amount of light entering the vehicle, ensuring optimal comfort at all times.
In addition, the VLE will be equipped with AIRMATIC air suspension, offering up to 40 mm of level control for an exceptionally smooth ride. With seven degrees of rear-axle steering, the vehicle also delivers remarkable agility, achieving a turning circle of just 10.9 meters.
Impressive Electric Performance
The Mercedes-Benz VLE is built on cutting-edge electric technology featuring an 800-volt architecture, enabling strong performance and fast charging capabilities suited for long journeys. According to announced specifications, the VLE will offer over 700 km of range thanks to a new 115 kWh battery.
With high-power fast charging, it will be possible to recover up to 355 km of range in just 15 minutes, allowing drivers to get back on the road quickly during long trips.
Two Versions Planned
Two versions are expected: the VLE 300 (272 horsepower) and the VLE 400 4MATIC (409 horsepower). The base model will be the first to arrive on our roads, followed by the premium version at a later date.
The VLE 400 4MATIC will be capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 6.5 seconds, proving that performance and electric mobility can go hand in hand.
Technology and Comfort Worthy of an S-Class
Inside, the VLE transforms into a true rolling lounge. The MBUX Superscreen system offers an intuitive and customizable interface, allowing both the driver and passengers to easily access vehicle functions, intelligent navigation, and connected services. In the rear, a dedicated 8K entertainment screen delivers an exceptional multimedia experience with stunning image quality.
