Give Your Company More with Metris and Sprinter Vans

If you're a business owner looking for a van, the options on the market are more interesting than ever. In the past, we had to rely on American manufacturers to give us something decent, but that has changed dramatically over the past two decades. Today, the choices are truly relevant.

And we have Mercedes-Benz to thank for making things happen. Remember when its Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van was introduced under the Dodge banner during the Daimler-Chrysler marriage era?

Then, about ten years ago, Mercedes-Benz took over the identity of its model, which it has constantly improved over the years. Better yet, in the middle of the last decade, the manufacturer came up with a second player, the Mercedes-Benz Metris. Truly, there is now something for everyone now.

If you'd like to take a closer look at both models, Mercedes-Benz Rive-Sud, in the Greenfield Park Borough of Longueuil, near Brossard, Chambly and Boucherville, invites you to discover its commercial vans designed to take your business to the next level. Your dealer on the South Shore, but also your Mercedes-Benz garage in Quebec par excellence, will give you full satisfaction. Explore our new Mercedes-Benz models as well as our inventory of pre-owned Mercedes-Benz vehicles; our team of experts will guide you to the vehicle that best suits your particular needs.

In the meantime, we take a look around for you to give you a little more guidance.

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

The Sprinter is the undisputed star of the Mercedes-Benz van family. That's because of the incredible reputation it has earned in the marketplace over the years, but also because no other vehicle of its kind is as practical. What's more, Mercedes-Benz offers it in so many ways that it's impossible not to find the one that meets your needs.

First, you should know that different types of bodies are offered. Other than the van configuration, a version that can accommodate passengers is on the menu, as well as a chassis-cab type variant that allows you to add what you really need at the back (platform, box, etc.).

As for the van, it is offered in four different forms. If your needs are more modest, the short wheelbase (144 inches) and standard roof model will meet your expectations. You can also take advantage of this chassis configuration but opt for a model with a raised roof; very practical if your employees have to stand up inside to retrieve tools on a regular basis.

If you have a lot of equipment to carry, you can go with the extended wheelbase model (170 inches). Available only with a high roof, it offers a previously unheard of 12,200 litres of cargo space. Even better, a version with an extended body of about 16 inches offers even more with a cavernous 15,100 litres.

Mechanically, you have an incredible choice depending on the version (2500, 3500, 4500) with 4-cylinders (gasoline and diesel) and a 6-cylinder diesel.

The Mercedes-Benz Metris

With the Metris, the formula is easier, simply because there is less demand. In fact, for those who don't need all the capabilities of the sprinter, the Metris is the perfect substitute. It is also available as a van or passenger vehicle. Two wheelbase lengths are available (126 and 135 inches for 5180 and 5640 litres of cargo volume respectively). There's only one height for the roof and a single engine is required to do the job. The latter is a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that delivers a very generous 258 lb-ft of torque. Nothing stands in its way.

Operation and Costs

In closing, let's note two things that are important both to the user and owner (who may or may not be the same person). When driving, both models offer a truly impressive level of comfort, coupled with incredible stability. The German genes of these products cannot be denied.

What's interesting for a company with these models is that they are recognized as those that guarantee the best long-term value on the market, when you consider maintenance costs, consumption, depreciation, etc. Vincentric, a firm renowned for its evaluations in the field, places the Sprinter and the Metris at the top of their respective categories. These are two more reasons to choose them, and Mercedes-Benz Rive-Sud is waiting for you to discover them!
