A Look at the Different Versions of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS is the flagship Mercedes-Benz electric sedan. It is the most luxurious and refined Mercedes-Benz EV on the market, featuring advanced technologies and a near-perfect blend of performance and comfort on the road. The stunning interior boasts premium materials and a door-to-door 56-inch HYPERSCREEN, while the seats provide ample support even on long drives. And, long drives are certainly possible with the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS. Equipped with a 107.8-kWh battery, the EQS offers 547 km of range in both its EQS 450 and EQS 580 versions. In the last six months, Mercedes-Benz has significantly expanded the 2023 EQS lineup with two new models, the aforementioned EQS 450 and the brand-new Mercedes-AMG EQS. Here, we take a closer look at the three versions of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS lineup to help you find the right model for you.

2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 4MATIC - $136,000

The entry-level EQS sedan features a dual permanently excited synchronous powertrain with one electric motor on each axle, creating an advanced 4MATIC all-wheel drive system capable of making thousands of adjustments every minute for continuous stability and grip. The EQS 450 4MATIC can reach 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, making full use of the 355 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque generated by its powertrain. This model features a 107.8-kWh battery, providing 547 km of range, as mentioned earlier.

2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC - $158,500

There are many similarities between the EQS 580 4MATIC and the EQS 450 4MATIC. Both share the same battery, and the range is nearly identical. Though the powertrain is also identical, the EQS 580 4MATIC sedan delivers significantly more performance. It generates 516 hp along with 631 lb-ft of torque, enough to reach 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds.

2023 Mercedes-AMG EQS 4MATIC+ - $195,000

The 2023 Mercedes-AMG EQS 4MATIC+ shares the same battery as the other two EQS models and offers 446 km of range. However, this model is designed to showcase the full capabilities of electrification. Generating 649 hp and 700 lb-ft of torque initially, with a boost function pushing performance to 751 hp and 752 lb-ft of torque, the EQS AMG is one of the quickest electric vehicles on sale today. It can reach 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, offering breathtaking performance without sacrificing refinement, handling or overall balance. The 4MATIC+ system distributes ample torque to each axle for optimal stability based on the chosen driving mode and the user's driving behavior. The fully variable AWD system adapts every 0.006 seconds, providing seamless transitions from handling the most challenging curves and weather conditions to offering the highest level of stability. All-wheel steering, advanced AMG brakes, adaptive AMG Ride Control+ air suspension, and an AMG DYNAMIC SELECT system tailor the driving experience to your precise requirements and deliver a remarkable journey every single time.
